Dear Georgette,

On December 4th you and your assistant came to our Chirstmas party and provided Quilts for our World War II Submarine Veterans that we were honoring as part of our get together.  As you know the following Wednesday the 7th was the 75th anniversarry of the bombing of Pear Harbor and the reason for bringing in these amazing members of our group.

The gentlemen were not told in advance that they were to be the guests of honor so it came as a complete surprise to them and the family menbers/friends who brought them. The quilts were beautiful and were quite the surprise to them. Most of them are well in years and are unable to easily travel and were very blessed to receive these wonderful quilts.

Your organization has now provided members with quilts on two occassions and we the Officers and men of the Requin Base would like to convey our appreciation to your group for the quilts and the incredible time it takes to make them. Pleae let the individuals know that made these items they were very well received. I spoke to a number of them and they were in common terms “Blown Away” by your generousity and kindness.  Your group has done an incredible job once again and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for a job well done.
